Large Antique Gilt Overmantle Mirror

19th century
Description

A large antique gilt overmantle mirror of simple arch-top design, measuring an enormous 4ft wide. The gilded frame is in good condition and it has its original glass and a good quality wood panelled back. The flat bottom allows it to be stood on a mantle or there are two fixing brackets for hanging on the wall.

It is in good condition and displays well. There are some very minor knocks and small losses around the edges of the mirror frame and some minor wear on the mirror plate but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready for use.
