Antique 18th Century Oak Side Table

Description

A charming country-made oak side table dating from the 18th century. It has a planked overhanging top and stands on balluster turned legs with square stretchers. It has a single drawer with two brass pull knobs.

It is in very good condition with a lovely rich patina. It is strong and sturdy and the drawer opens well. There are many signs of age and use and there have been some repairs and restorations over its life but nothing untoward or detrimental. There has been an old repair to the top of one back leg and also a piece of wood put in on the edge of the moulding but overall it displays very well.

It has been cleaned and given a gentle wax and is ready for use. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
