Description

This rare and exquisite Victorian silver kitchen pepper was made by the highly collectable Hukin & Heath and is dated London 1886. The bark effect body very much a feature of the Arts & Craft silver movement and often seen in Hukin & Heath silver pieces. The shape inspired by early Georgian flour dredgers. The cylindrical body raised on a spreading circular foot. The pull-off cover with intricate pierced decorations. Reeded handle and gilt interior. Good silver gauge.
