Antique Wall Clock

Description

An impressive triple weight, grand sonnerie 'Vienna' wall clock. A walnut case with the original carved pediment and finial. Corinthium capped fluted side columns with veneered end blocks. An enamel dial to the 8-day duration mechanism with dead-beat escapement. Quarter striking and repeating on two gongs, the mechanism signed by Gustav Becker, a noted maker. Circa 1875.
