Antique German Carved Oak Armoire C1900

Antique German Carved Oak Armoire / Schrank and dating from around 1900. Constructed fro. Quality oak it has a serpentine shaped top with deep moulded cornice and cross cut frieze with a large carved armorial style cartouche to the centre and beaded trim. This is above two full length arched panelled doors with each panel being of quality burr walnut with carved cartouche of acanthus leaves and fruit to the top and large carved shell and scroll work to the base. The doors have original lock and key. Internally it is all hanging with brass rail. It stands on a deep moulded plinth with carved armorial style cartouche to the centre and on heavy cabriole shaped legs on a large pad foot. The whole separates for ease of transporting.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
