Description
Lovely Victorian Brigg of London Malacca hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1886 and makers mark for Thomas Johnson III of Spencer Street London. Retailers stamp for the Famous Brigg of London Silver ball top sitting into a silver collar. The top is engraved MARIE 1886 to the top. It measures 82.5 cm 32 1/2 inches in length, the pommel is 3.8 cm 1 1/2 inches wide. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. An abundance of bumps and scratches to the silver as shown but non are deep and the are no holes or repairs to the silver. Good strong shaft. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
