Lovely ebony hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The silver was assayed in Chester as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1921
and makers mark for Christopher Walker of Manchester.
Like most Chester canes the hallmark has been places on the top of the cane unlike the other assay
offices that mark canes around the collar.
Lovely engine turned engraved decoration around the sides of the silver top.
It measures 91 cm 35 3/4 inches in length, the pommel is 3.6 cm 1 3/8 inches wide and 5 cm 2 inches long.
The ferrule is made of brass.
Good strong ebony shaft that will support a good weight.
It''s in excellent condition but with some signs of age and
use as you''d expect at this age.
Some bumps, scratches and pitting to the silver as shown.
