Description

For sale is a fine quality 19th Century Mahogany and Satinwood Marquetry Inlaid Writing Table by Edwards & Roberts. The top having a shelf, flanked either side by concave stationary compartments, opening to reveal a fitted drawer on each side. Below this the top is fitted with a green leather, decorated with blind and gold tooling with a centre motif. Below this the desk has an arrangement of seven drawers, each profusely inlaid and complete with brass drop handles. The desk is raised on tapering legs terminating on spade feet. This piece is in very good condition for its age and is a fine example of quality by London Cabinet Makers, Edwardards & Roberts.

Edwards and Roberts were known as some of the best cabinet makers of their day, using the finest materials available.
