A superb hand carved Sienna Marble wall panel depicting the St Mark''s Lion of Venice. Large size and with good patination to the surface which has a lustrous glow to it. Well carved and with deep relief, in places more than 5-6 cms above the background. Sold with purpose made steel brackets for hanging, but ideally it should be set back into a wall as it would have originally been. (Slightly reduced in size from the original and cut thinner at the back to reduce weight).
