Antique Solid Silver Cream Milk Jug Chester 1912

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug with an elegant Georgian style design with reeded border around the rim and curved handle. It is engraved with a scrolling letter 'H' on the side of the jug. The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 118g.

It is fully hallmarked for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester, 1912. The mark is slightly rubbed but still distinguishable.

It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint internal surface marks and a few light surface marks and signs of use and age but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
