An exceptionally rare metamorphic mid- 18th Century Batchelor’s Chest in mahogany with brass hardware. The fold-over top opening to reveal a polished interior, followed by a leather lined surface, the rear portion of which springs up to form a desk with pigeon holes and small drawers, including two original brass fold-away candleholders.
