An Imposing and Handsome Silver Desk Inkwell

1940 - 1960
Description

A smart and stylish hallmarked silver inkwell of large proportions and excellent quality. This handsome piece is of capstan form with a hinged lid and a glass inkwell liner. It is hexagonal in shape and features a deep lip to the front for holding a pen or quill. The wooden base is weighted for use as a paperweight and the lid is finished with the most attractive armorial of a stag. An excellent example both decorative and usable. Dimensions below.
