Very Fine Quality French Ormolu Clock

Description

A very high quality and attractive French ormolu MANTEL CLOCK.

The case is typically French with its rococo styled finial; latticework sides and scrolled feet and is of the very finest ormolu (gilded bronze) which retains its fine original gilding.

The eight-day timepiece movement is in perfect working order, whilst the gilded dial is also in mint order and the blued steel "Breguet" hands are totally original. 12ins high;7ins wide; 4ins deep. (30.5x17.75x10cms) The weight for its size, and the fine quality of this clock is astonishing!
