Description

A 1940s Clarex stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a nice quality jewelled, stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Clarex, 15 jewels, Swiss made. the movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

Clarex was regiestered by Blum & Flückiger SA and were based in Gläser; La Chaux-de-Fonds, Schweiz; registriert am 18.7.1946

The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for a 1940s piece.

The watch glass is in nice condition with only a small nibble to the outer edge at 2 o'clock although hardly noticeable.

The white enamel dial is in good condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
