Cast Iron Doorstop. Victorian Dolphin Eagle Snake Door Stop Porter

Description

This antique doorstop / door porter is of super quality, made of iron, dates from the 19th century and has lots of detail with dolphins, eagle heads and an eagle with a serpent in it's beak. This unusual door stop which is double sided and has a top brass ring is brightly coloured in claret and green with gold detailing.

The base of the door stop is impressed with the Victorian kite mark dating to 1882.

A beautiful high quality item that is very usable and looks fabulous on display in your home.

Materials: Cast iron.

Date: 1882.

Height: 28 cm (11") approx.

Weight: 1.4 Kg.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with some wear to paint leaving a wonderful patina. Nice original condition and not restored / over cleaned.
