Regency Rosewood Gillows Library Table. Circa 1825

19th century
Description

Superb quality regency veneered and solid figured rosewood end standard library table almost certainly made by Gillows of Lancaster but not stamped by them. All mahogany carcass. Wonderful figured veneered top with quirk corners having narrow frieze with knulled moulding to edge. Finely turned solid rosewood end columns supported top and bottom with scroll supports, the ones at bottom leaf carved. Standing on end platform bases with tuned feet enclosing brass casters. All in superb un-touched virtually mint original condition. Wonderful colour with great waxed patina. As good as you get of its kind.
