The "Idler' Magazine was a bi monthly subscription magazine. It contained a variety of fiction usually accompanied by illustrations.

The drawing is a charming piece, of a country gentleman snipe shooting. The illustration is an original watercolour for the magazine by Arthur E Gonne who provided illustrations for editions between Aug and Dec 1905.

The drawing bears an inscription - Ye Snipe and tries to miss him, by Mudlark Author of 'Bang - Let Go.Timber doodle cosner and others price tuppence.
