19th C. French Gold Mounted Crystal Scent Bottle, French Provincial Marks, Circa 1850

Description

This is a fabulous French 18 Carat gold crystal perfume bottle. The slender cut-glass baluster body raised on a gold pedestal foot. The scalloped mount engraved with scrolls, the hinged cover embossed with scrolls and leaves and terminating with a with ball finial.

The neck fitted with a clear glass stopper.

French control marks on collar , foot and lid.

Hallmarks:

Provincial French gold marks.

Tested as 18 carat gold.

Dimensions:

Height: 11.5cm / 4.4 inches.

Diameter at widest: 5.3cm / 1.2 inches.

Condition:

Excellent.
