A charming and rare mahogany and exquisite quality MINIATURE SIDEBOARD in lovely original condition.

Constructed of finely-figured timber, this is a faithful copy of a full-size early Victorian sideboard, complete with central drawer and cupboards to both sides, fitted with shelves to the left side and a cellarette drawer (complete with lead lined divisions) to the other. Superb! 13.35ins (34cms) wide.

***Often (and incorrectly) referred to as "Apprentice Pieces" these beautifully made miniature furniture pieces were actually journeyman's (or salesman's) samples and were used to show prospective customers (usually shops) the design and quality of the full-size piece. Therefore it was crucial that these were finely made and faithful miniature copies, as with this lovely example.
