Striking Classic Victorian Brass and Iron Double Bed

Description

A real wow of a classic Victorian brass and iron double bed. Good detail in decorative castings with original castors. (Can be removed if preferred) Professionally restored with joints checked for good fit and side rails adapted to support wood slats. Shot blasted and primed prior to being individually finished in striking hand paint finish of Little Greene paint company Normandy with Jade highlights. Brass has been lacquered to give a golden glow. Suitable for standard double mattress 135cm x190cm

Side rail height 45cm (on castors)

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2"platform top or 4" platform top or sprung top mini box base for £195/£250. These raise the get into bed height and offer a superior support for quality mattresses. Photograph taken with wood slats. We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices from £225 - £750. Details are available on our own web site under Bases and mattresses or e mail us for specifications and price list.
