19th.c. Brass Inlaid Mahogany Double Bed C.1890

Description

Superb quality late 19th.c. brass inlaid mahogany double bed c.1890. Extensive brass mouldings and inlaid stringing to the headboard, foot and sides. Head and foot both flanked with a fine pair of turned columns with brass fittings and flutes. Brass pineapple finials to the head. Turned feet, also brass mounted and raised on the original castors. To take a five feet wide mattress, internal length 75".

Note, we also have a pair of single door wardrobes which match this bed.
