Pair of French Louis Xv Style Fauteuils Armchairs in Original Paint

1900 - 1920
Description

A pair of vintage French fauteuil in Louis XV style, the channel moulded and foliate carved frames with off-white painted finish and with cream damask upholstery.

A nice pair of chairs of good proportions, the seats are sprung and in very good order and the paintwork is nicely worn at the edges. The damask fabric is unstained; a little worn in places but very serviceable. I can arrange re-covering if preferred - please contact me for further details.

The backs are 87cm high, the seats 58cm wide at the front edge, 49cm deep front to back and 42cm high.
