Fine Silver Milk Jug London 1937 By Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd

A very fine solid silver Milk Jug. The lovely baluster body has a neat wavy line border. It stands on three attractive feet and has a nice loop handle. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the base of the jug for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1937 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and silver makers marks for the silversmith Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.
 
 
 
Lovely proportions, this jug feels nice when picked up by the handle and is a good heavy gauge silver.It stands firm and straight!
 
 
 
Condition: In very fine antique collector''s condition.

Width from handle to spout: 9.8 cm approx.
