It features a mercury compensated pendulum gently swinging behind the four panes of beveled glass. The case is classical in design with acanthus brackets to each side. The urns of conforming design with acanthus handles.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper, finely lettered and with original finely cut and blued breguet hands.
The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original, we have replaced the mercury with polished silver steel for safety. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a coiled gong. We have a video clip of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The marble is also excellent with no significant damage and a good polish. The dial is also in excellent condition just some small scratches. The urn inserts have some repair / cracking but do not detract.
