Antique Regency Mahogany & Leather Chaise Lounge

Description

This antique Regency chaise lounge is a fabulous looking piece of furniture & quite a rare model, especially in leather. I believe all the inner upholstery & the leather is original, or has been on it a long time. In fact the buttoned cushion & bolster feel like they have horse hair inside. Our leather specialist only had to enhance the colour that was already there. Consequently, the leather has a fabulous original naturally aged look. It’s all in good condition & the hand tacking is also original. The frame is solid mahogany & beautifully carved on both sides, with the typical Regency sabre legs. This chaise is a real character piece of furniture & we have tried to keep the original look, by not over polishing the wood. It dates from the 1820’s period.

Seat height – 15 inches, 38 cm
