~~ Excellent condition, fully working ~~

A beautiful and unusual bronze bracket clock, Baroque in style and silver plated with contrasting gild. It is profusely decorated with fabric backed fretted panels with goddess masks, cornucopia and stylised acanthus. To the top are four beautifully modelled dolphins. The rear door is also beautifully modelled allowing the clock to be displayed in the round.

The dial is heavily cast in bronze with an armorial motif to the centre and 12 porcelain enamel cartouche letters. It is complete with original blued steel hands and convex glass.

The French movement is by Japy Frères and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition with original pendulum. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the silvering and gild are clean and bright with only occasional discolouration and marks. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. The clock has previously been restored with fresh fabric fitted to the sound frets.
