Description

Very stylish Art Deco modular sideboard and bookcase c.1930. Comprised of ten separate sections (four base units) including a fall front drinks cabinet. Pale burr walnut veneered fronts with contrasting rosewood crossbanding, walnut tops, sides and plinths. Stands together as a single run over 12 feet in length or can be rearranged as preferred or even used as separate stacks, the curved ends could be used either side of a bed perhaps. Original Art Deco design handles, hinges and keys. The shelves inside both bookcase sections and the two door cupboard are adjustable. Some wear to the tops otherwise very good condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Maker is unknown but there are paper labels on the backs of several sections dated 14th August 1939.
