Small Georgian Red Walnut Chest With Slide. Circa 1750

Unusually small (27" wide) George II figured solid red walnut chest with slide, having 3 long front drawers and top dummy drawer, but with long side drawer in right hand end. Lovely 'crispy' grey oak drawer linings. Original brass handles and escutcheons and iron locks. Fine all walnut slide with sunk centre panel. Later feet. All in superb condition with no cracks, splits or repairs (except feet). Wonderful rich colour with fine waxed patina. It is a very long time since i have had a chest with slide so small. A little gem.
