Antique French Ormolu Mounted Painted Vitrine Display Cabinet

Description

This very impressive French antique kingwood display cabinet has a wonderful original look & has loads of character. The gilt bronze mounts are well defined & the three bottom panels are beautifully painted. I think the paintings could be professionally cleaned to bring out all the fine details & colours, but in a way they are in keeping with the natural aged look. The cabinet is in good condition & structurally sound. It has just come out of a country property & is in the same condition as we found it. The inside lining must have been re-done at some point & is still in good condition. I would date this vitrine to around the 1890’s period.
