~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
The movement is by the distinguished clockmaker Samuel Marti. The style is Louis XVI, decorated with acanthus, scrolling foliage and cornucopia.

The clock has a porcelain dial featuring a cherub with a basket of flowers and beneath this is a delicately painted scene of a young couple. To the top of the clock is a porcelain urn delicately painted with a country scene. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is by Samuel Marti and has the makers mark on the backplate. It is of high quality as expected and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video clip available of the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. Porcelain is in very good condition with just some rubbing to the over-glaze gilt decoration and the occasional mark.
