Description

This is a stunningly carved large antique French coat of arms, full of fine details & very deep carvings. It’s all carved wood & is in original condition including the paintwork. There a bit of damage mainly on one of the crowns & a bit of wear on the outside paintwork. However, there is so much intricate detail that you don’t really notice at first. There is a subject & a signature engraved along the bottom. However, I haven’t researched who it’s by or what family this coat of arms represents. I believe this piece is at least about 150 years old, but it could be older. Please enlarge all the many images to see all the fabulous details.
