Pretty Large English Sterling Silver Jewelry or Trinket Box

Description

An absolute stunner of an English sterling silver trinket box, wonderful quality with delightfully pretty decoration.

The top is engraved with intricate ribbon & bow garlands, floral & foliate garlands and a continual foliate design surrounding the central cartouche, perfect for engraving if desired.

The outer edge of the lid has a raised beaded finish with four repousse shells.

The box stands on it's original four cabriole style legs. The hinged lid opens to reveal the original green silk lined interior with the, quite exceptional.

The underside is where the full English hallmark is found for the highly desirable Chester assay office and the date letter for 1912, 98 years old.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" diameter across the lid and standing 2 1/8" tall to top of domed lid.
