Description

Very impressive antique Queen Anne style burr walnut drinks cabinet in excellent condition & of extremely high quality, dating from the 1920-30’s period. It has a double arched top, with two doors below on etched brass hinges. The door fronts & the sides of the cabinet are all burr walnut. The top has a carved rope edge with a heavily carved central design. There are two drawers below the cupboards with original brass handles. The solid walnut base section has some incredible hand carvings all over. Take a look at the intricately carved basket of flowers in the middle & the carvings on & around the legs, right down to the hairy paw feet. All the images need to be enlarged to appreciate the quality of the carvings. The inside of the cabinet is sycamore lined, with a mirrored back & base, two glass shelves & a light fitting, which will need re-wiring, due to the age. There’s also a pull out slide with a mirrored insert, which is useful for serving drinks on. The burr walnut is beautifully patterned all over the top section.
