Low Marble Top Chest of Drawers C.1890.

19th century
Description

Unusually low marble top chest of drawers c.1890. Just 25" tall, ideal for under a low window or at the end of a bed perhaps. Original pink marble top with a thumb moulded edge and rounded front corners over three long drawers. Beautifully figured burr elm veneers to the front, sides and plinth with inlaid satinwood crossbanding. Original ormolu laurel wreath handles, escutcheons and shoulder mounds. Oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
