Signed oil on canvas showing a village in the snow by the artist Lambillotte Georges ( 1915 - 1998). The painting is mounted in a simple oak frame. The painting dates form around 1950.

George Lambillotte (Barnet, Great Britain, 1915 - Godinne, 1998). Lambillotte was a Belgium impressionist painter and draftsman who trained at the Academies of Namur and Brussels under Alfred Bastien and Frans Smeers. After spending some time in Brussels, he moved to Godinne in 1955. He took his inspiration from the Ardennes landscapes. and the Meuse but also painted portraits and still lifes. He used large brush stroke and a clear and bright palette. He was a member of the circle "L'Esquisse" in Namur and exhibited in 1934 and 1937.
