Short Regency Mahogany Chaise C.1830.

Description

Unusually short Regency era chaise longue or daybed c.1830. Just 66" long with a gracefully shaped and buttoned backrest and roll-over arm over a sprung seat. Flame mahogany crossbanded edge to the backrest (repeated on the rear) with crisply carved acanthus leaves. Superb lyre shaped front to the arm with good carved and reeded detail. Raised on turned and reeded legs front and rear with original brass castors. Good colour and condition, clean and serviceable covers with minor wear to the front.
