An antique “Express” English Lever pocket watch by J G Graves of Sheffield.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. The movement is protected by a fitted inner cover. A winding key is included.

The watch measures 52.8mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1900 with a maker’s mark for the case maker for J.G.Graves. The case has light surface marking / wear from use and some mild bruising to the edge but overall it is in nice condition for an 1900s piece.

The watch glass has minor marking from use and a small nibble to the inside of the bottom edge although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The signed white enamel dial has several very faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub seconds hand

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
