The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The watch has a key-wound fusee (chain driven) movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.
The watch measures 55.5mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks in both of the case backs for London 1875 with the case makers mark for William Carter, Gateway Street, St Luke's, London The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark, and a small "ding" to the back nothing serious at all.

The watch glass is in nice condition with only minor marking from use.
The watch has its original gold coloured hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
