Description

A quality French boulle tortoishell mantel clock. Good quality inlays with ebonised back door and top. An enamel dial with blued steel hands. An 8-day mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Signed to the dial and backplate 'Dellettrez a Paris' who are recorded in Tardy's Horologers Francais book as working at Rue de Berry from 1850 -1870.
