Description

A lovely georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th century. They have good large proportions and offer a great deal of storage with three long drawers below a gentleman's brushing slide. They are set on attractive sweeping bracket feet and have brass plate handles.

The chest is in excellent condition and is a sturdy piece that has been well made and well looked after. The oak lined drawers are generally clean and tidy and all open well. One bottom handle is slightly different from the rest but it isn't very noticeable. The colour is wonderful with a deep rich patina. It is not without a few small surface marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use
