A unique 19th-century continental settle, featuring original folk hand painted leather inserts depicting large childlike floral motifs to each of the panels. This settle displays elaborately carved scroll feet with a lift up seat, the padded back and sides display House of Hackney for Liberty London Velvet “Blackthorn” fabric with the seat featuring its original black paint.
