A slim body with a long door with inlaid marquetry detail and a crossbanded edge. 30 hour works striking the hours on a bell. Brass face with an engraved centre, a separate silvered chapter ring and date dial and interesting spandrels, each one featuring a different allegorical character. Named for Baddley of Newport on the face. Note also the initials and date 1765 which is carved inside the door. Excellent working condition sold with a 12 month guarantee. The case has been cleaned and polished in our workshops.
