Fine Scottish late Georgian highly figured mahogany longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by Hay Mercer of Aberdeen. Finely painted dial with rural scenes in arch and spandrels. Steel hands. Movement fully overhauled and in fine working order. The case with pillars flanking door with ionic scroll capitals and with rosewood cross-banding to trunk door and base, All in fine original condition with just a few minor repairs to banding. Fine deep rich colour with great waxed patina. Comes with all keys.
Size; 80" high, 19" wide at hood, 9" deep.
