Description

A fine antique cut glass biscuit jar of oval shape mounted with a silver plated pewter hinged cover the centre mounted with a very finely modeled parian porcelain figure of a child sleeping on gathered cloth and resting the head on a basket filled with flowers and fruit. The parian sculpture is set within a raised recess. The biscuit jar is not apparently marked but probably English.

Condition: Minor loss to flowers on cover and loss to silver plating with customary age wear to base
