Description

Antique silver pocket watch, Mercer, Coventry.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is numbered 38377, and it is all protected by a fitted inner cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for Chester 1891, together with a maker's mark for T J Mercer and the number 38377, so we can be certain that the movement and the case started out life together.

The front and sides of the case are in good condition. The case back has some unevenness.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed T J Mercer, Coventry and again with the number 38377. There are some faint short hairline cracks to the dial.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
