Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
It has a platinum case surrounded by diamonds and then more diamonds to the highly decorative platinum shoulders which are articulated and simply glides around the wrist - very much of the Art Deco era in design.

There are 42 Old European cut diamonds which are deeper than modern day ones and a total of approximately 5cts.
The watch head itself measures 25mm in diameter excluding the winding crown, the shoulders are 12 mm wide and the total length from the end of the shoulder to shoulder is 61mm.

It is attached to its original 18ct white gold mesh bracelet which goes over your hand and can then be adjusted to fit most wrist size.
As you would expect from Longines the diamonds are bright, crisp and evenly matched, the sparkle they generate is just stunning.

It comes with its original box by Harrods.
It is quite superb with its original Longines starburst dial which is in wonderful condition. A new glass has been fitted and it has been cleaned and polished so it is absolutely beautiful.

The 17 jewel movement is an absolute gem, sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.
As you would expect from Longines the watch is fully marked on the dial and movement.

Longines are one of the most exclusive makers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class, truly a piece of jewellery which will never date.
Overall this watch is in beautiful condition and looks as if it was hardly ever worn, it would certainly make a perfect gift for any lady.

The watch has just been fully overhauled, restored and serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Longines in all respects.
This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.

The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
