Description

Dating to the late Victorian period, this is a superb large sewing or jewelry box clad in a fabulous piece of rich cognac coloured Crocodile or Alligator skin.

There is a solid brass plate fixed into the lid complete with a carrying handle which has the English registration number stamped into it, 255930, for the year 1897.

The interior is in magnificent condition retaining the original silk lining with two corner pockets and a super tufted lid.

Excellent condition and yes, complete with the original working key, measuring 10 1/4" x 6 3/4" x 4 1/4" tall.
