Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The twin astragal glazed doors have satinwood cross banding and and triple reeded glazing bars enclosing four shelves, three of them adjustable. The lower section has a mahogany veneered top above a flame veneered secretaire drawer, which opens to reveal a satinwood fitted interior with drawers, pigeon holes and a green leather writing surface, above a further two flame mahogany panelled doors enclosing three mahogany slides. The whole standing on splayed feet. English circa 1900-1910 in the George III taste.
