Rare Antique English Sterling Silver Vesta & Sovereign Case - 1898

Description

A hard to find and scarce combination Vesta and Sovereign case beautifully decorated with an all over engraved design.

The front has a shield shaped cartouche, which is vacant and could be engraved with initials if desired.

The Vesta's sprung hinge is in excellent working order and of course has the strike to the outside.

The Sovereign case is opened by pressing the small little button at the end of the ball finial, and just snaps back shut.

Fully hallmarked in numerous places for Birmingham 1898 together with the makers initials J W for J. Wilmot.

Excellent condition and measuring 3 1/4" long (including ring) x 1 1/4" wide.
