Description

A super quality 19th century Irish walnut veneered bookcase on stand, consisting of a two glass door cabinet top with a panelled interior and fitted with three adjustable shelves. The base consisting of three drawers, two of which having deep interiors and the center being a shallow long drawer. The drawers all fitted with brass swan neck handles and having lovely figured walnut veneers. The base stands on four fantastic carved cabriole legs, decorated with clam shells above hairy lions paw feet. There is also fret work carving to the chamfered edges at either end of the base and another clam shell in the centre of the apron and another larger clam shell in the centre of the cabinet cornice.

All locks are in good working order with the original key, this is a fabulous piece of furniture and is in excellent condition.
